How much does bookkeeping or business tax help cost?
It depends on complexity: the size of your business, transaction volume and how current your books are all affect the cost. That's why the initial consultation is free: we review your case and give you a flat price before we start, with no surprises at the end. We don't publish prices on the site because every business is different.
My business hasn't filed for several years. Can you help?
Yes, and it's more common than you'd think. We start by pulling your history from the IRS, rebuild the missing years in order, and evaluate whether any penalty relief applies. The important thing is to start: interest doesn't stop on its own.
I received a letter from the IRS. What should I do?
Don't ignore it and don't answer it casually. Send it to us or bring it in: these letters almost always ask for something very specific and have a deadline. We review what's actually being requested, prepare the response and, if needed, represent you.
Should I open an LLC or a corporation?
It depends on your income, how many partners there are, whether you'll have employees and what risk you carry. The wrong structure can cost you thousands in unnecessary taxes. In the consultation we review your specific case and tell you which one fits and why.
Do you handle payroll for small businesses?
Yes, starting from one employee. We process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly payroll, make the tax deposits, file the returns (941, 940, DE 9) and issue W-2s and 1099s at year end.
Do you only work during tax season?
No. We're open year-round, and off-season is exactly when we do the work that saves the most: planning, catching books up, adjusting withholdings and structuring the business.
What documents should I bring to my first appointment?
For your business: photo ID, entity information (EIN, formation documents), bank statements, sales reports, payroll if you have employees, and last year's tax return. We send you the exact list before the appointment.
Can I work with you remotely?
Yes. Many clients send documents securely and sign electronically. If you prefer in person, that works too, but it isn't required.
